What is Club Soccer
Valley Futbol Club is a locally organized, AYSA, USYSA affiliated youth soccer organization whose mission it is to provide opportunity for area youth to experience a healthy, safe and developmentally appropriate environment to learn and love the game of soccer. VFC is sanctioned to offer youth soccer programs for both boys and girls from age 5 through age 19.
Alabama Youth Soccer Association (AYSA), is a branch of Alabama Soccer Association and is our state youth association through which local clubs must affiliate in order to be a part of United States Youth Soccer. Its membership boasts more than 16,000 recreational and competitive players.
USYSA Region III is the regional branch of U.S. Youth Soccer which includes the southeastern United States. The region includes the following state associations: Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, North Texas, and South Texas. The regional level of competition provides a stepping stone to national competition.
U.S. Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) is the national parent association for youth soccer. It is the youth branch of U.S. Soccer Federation and provides national guidelines, direction and an organization for competition for all affiliated youth. USYSA nurtures the U.S. Olympic Development Program (ODP) which is the development program for the US National team.
U.S. Soccer Federation is the parent organization for the U.S. National Team, MLS (Major League Soccer), WUSA (Womens United Soccer Association) MISL (Major Indoor Soccer League) and USL (United Soccer Leagues) for U.S. professional soccer players. USSF is sanctioned through FIFA (Federation of International Football Associations) which connects U.S. Soccer with the world. FIFA is the international governing body of soccer and has a membership of 204 national associations and confederations.
